Dream & Mission

Roughly a third of the worlds agricultural lands are estimated to be under the care of a Christian farmer. Our dream, hope and prayer is that the stories in this book will inspire and empower these farmers to become a good steward to their land and to make it healthy and productive again. Can you imagine what a blessing these farmers would become to their communities if their yields would double or even multiply eight to ten times? We believe that the agricultural techniques described in this book, with God’s blessing, have the ability to do that.

To be able to reach all these farmers, we’ve made the book available in three different formats: a Paperback, an eBook for e-readers, and a free eBook-PDF. The PDF file is about 2MB, and can be easily spread by email, whats-app or bluetooth in case there is no WIFI connection.

We would like to get in touch with organizations that have farmer- or biblestudy-groups and are able to distribute larger quantities of books. Please contact us, if that description fits your organization. You can also contact us if you wish to financially support another ministry that has the ability to distribute books, but not the funds to buy them. We might be able to make a match.

About the author

Berthine Heederik studied Rural Development and Innovation at Larenstein University in Wageningen, the Netherlands. At the time of writing this book Berthine was the senior editor of a fundrasing television program. Currently she is Project Coordinator for Tree of Life, a foundation that promotes regenarative agriculture in several African countries.

Berthine lives with her husband, Rinke, on a little farm in Groningen, the Netherlands. Here they grow and preserve their own food.

Through her work and personal research she encountered the stories of these five farmers, and felt they had to be shared collectively with the world. ‘I Will Heal Their Land’ is Berthine’s first book.
